Principal's Letter

Dear Parents,

We are pleased to learn of your interest in Pickering Christian School. We are registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education and we offer a Christ-centered academic program that meets or exceeds the Ministry of Education guidelines.

Our curriculum is based around the Word of God, as we believe that it is the center of all truth. The school utilizes dedicated Christian teachers and staff members to integrate God’s Word into all areas of school life.

The procedure for enrollment at Pickering Christian School is as follows:

If you agree fully with our Statement of Faith and our Mission Statement, you are encouraged to fill out an application form and return it to the school office. The $250 registration fee (non-refundable) should accompany the application form along with a copy of your child’s latest report card (if applicable) and letters of reference (Gr. 1-8) in order to begin the admission process.

An appropriate time will be scheduled for your child to have a school visit and academic testing. For JK and SK , an interview is scheduled with the teacher.

After your application has been received, it will be held for review by our Admissions Committee. The Business Administrator will phone and send a letter indicating a time to meet with the principal to complete the process. This should occur within one week of testing.

An interview with principal and parents will be arranged.

As a school, we feel strongly that all children belong in an educational system where Jesus Christ is pre-eminent (Colossians 1:18) and where they are taught to love the Lord God with all their heart (Deuteronomy 6:5-7). Be assured of our prayers, even at this early planning stage. We pray that the Lord will guide you and direct your path as you consider this vital choice for your child.
